How to apply?
Visa on Arrival
One of the easiest ways to obtain a Vietnam visa is to apply for ‘Visa on Arrival’ online. You can complete the application process in a few simple steps and receive the approval letter to travel in a couple of days. But, visa on arrival approval letter is valid for only people who travel by air. Visa on Arrival is applicable for travelers who travel by air and eligible only if you travel through any of the following international airports in Vietnam.
- Phu Quoc International Airport
- Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi

- Da Nang International Airport
- Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City
How does it work?
The entire process has only three steps: Apply online for approval letter, show the letter and pay, and get the visa.
Here is what you need to do:-
Fill in the online application form by providing the right details of your name, DOB, passport number, and arrival date. You will have to pay $25 for processing your visa. You can pay with your credit and debit cards.
Once you pay and submit the application, your visa will be processed and you will receive the approval letter in your Email in 2-3 business days. Once you receive the letter, get it printed and take it with you. Keep in mind, this approval letter helps you to travel by air but doesn’t allow entering into Vietnam until you get the visa stamped.
Upon arrival, at any one of the international airports, you need to fill a simple form, submit your approval letter along with 2 passport size photographs, and pay the stamping fee of $25 to the emigration officer, and get the visa stamped. If you are travelling through cruise or other transport mediums you need to apply visa through the embassy and it will take a long time to get the visa. It is better to travel by air.
