First of all, it is worth noting that French Nationals with a valid French passport can be exempted from needing a visa to get into Vietnam if they intend to stay in the country for 15 days or less. This means you do not have to worry about the Vietnam visa price for France.

The visa exemption is an immigration regulation issued on the 19^th of June 2017 running up to the 30^th June 2019.

According to this regulation, a French national either living in France or abroad but in possession of a passport valid for 6 months or more from the date of entry is illegible to visa exemption for 15 days. Visa Application

You will also need to take passport size photographs of dimension 4cm by 6cm, these you will present along with your approval letter on arrival at the immigration point.
